FutureMeds DRS Krakow specializes in osteoporosis, cardiovascular, gastroenterology, vaccines and hyperlipidemia therapeutic areas. Our teams are also prepared to implement advanced phase II-IV protocols in the field of internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, bone and joint diseases, neurology, and nephrology. To provide the patients with the best experience and our clients with the most accurate outcomes, our site management and PIs assemble the best medical team with any specialist profile in accordance with the requirements of a given protocol.
Our team is expanding TA expertise continuously. Over the years we have completed 159 studies in various fields such as psoriasis, osteoporosis, RA, osteoarthritis, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, colitis ulcerosa, COPD, asthma, polycystic kidney disease, migraine, gout, haemophilia and other diseases.

We have 16 specialist doctors, including 9 internal medicine specialists on our team at the clinic. All our experts are fluent in English and have current GCP certificates.
The Site Director is Kinga Zajączkowska. Kinga has been working in clinical trials for over 20 years with tremendous operational expertise.
The medical team is led by dr. Piotr Rozpondek who has been in the industry for 9 years.
The site was formerly run by prof. dr hab. med. Edward Czerwiński with 50 years of professional experience, and diplomas from national and foreign universities. Under his management and medical guidance, the site has established a high standard of care and trial excellence.
Our clinic works with 10 nurses and technicians. The efficient screening and seamless cooperation with the sponsor and CRO are ensured by a coordinator and assistants assigned to each study.
35 additional administration, marketing, and IT staff are supporting the operation of the clinic. All work is coordinated, aligned and synchronized by the Research Office.

Our team at FutureMeds Krakow has completed 50 phase II, and 109 III studies in osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, menopause, hypertension, diabetes, ulcerative enteritis, hypercholesterolaemia, COPD, asthma, venous thromboembolism, acute pain areas.
Piotr Rozpondek has been with FutureMeds Krakow since 2013. He is specialising in internal medicine and has conducted over 82 studies.
Urszula Wilczek-Kosowska has been with FutureMeds Krakow since 2018 . She is specialising in internal medicine and has conducted over 38 studies.
Przmysław Borowy has been with FutureMeds Krakow since 2002. He is specialising in immunology and internal medicine and has conducted over 67 studies.
Dorota Wielowieyska-Szybinska has been with FutureMeds Krakow since 2010. She is specialising in dermatology and has conducted over 36 studies.
Average Start-up time
The team at DRS Krakow aims to accelerate the submission process by proactively preparing essential documents for submission during pre-qualification visits. Provided the site selection decision is confirmed and all required documents and approvals are received our teams can initiate the next steps immediately.
On average, and based on our site’s historical performance, studies can be up and running in 2 weeks.
Our teams use effective patient recruitment methods and provide fast and effective screening. Due to our rigorous process - all procedures are detailed in internal SOPs - and patient-centric approach our studies have low patient drop-out rates; the average drop-out in the 3-year studies is 4 percent.
To ensure efficient cooperation with the sponsor and CRO, we assign a qualified research coordinator assigned to each study. They have separate rooms with high-speed internet access to enable fast and uninterrupted communication.
Population Profile, Patient Pool
FutureMeds DRS Krakow has over 40 000 screened patients in the database. Although 75% of our screened patients (30 000) live within a 5-mile radius of the clinic we are taking strategic steps and incorporating technologies such as telehealth and remote monitoring to increase the convenience of and support our patients living outside of Krakow.
Our marketing and patient recruitment team continue to grow our database which currently holds over 124,000 contacts. Using effective localised patient recruitment methods we can reach patients who are likely to meet the requirements of a given protocol.
On top of our team's recruitment activities, partners such as pharmacies, doctors and medical centres in our area have been referring patients to us for over 20 years. They trust our team’s capability and readily promote the treatment areas of our clinic.

Patient Experience and Access
The experience, knowledge and expertise of the team coupled with modern equipment ensure a high standard of services. The clinic has been audited by external parties 24 times. We have always obtained very high marks.
Our team takes great effort to provide the patients with the best available care. Each patient included in a study is under the care of a doctor assigned to him/her. This doctor is available on a mobile phone number. We know that our patients appreciate access to medical care, therefore our team provides them with 24/7 access.
Location
FutureMeds Krakow’s facilities are conveniently located and well connected. Patients from Krakow and the surrounding areas can use the nearby bus, railway and tram network to travel to and from the clinic.
Although the nearest train station is a 20-minute walk away, it is connected to a tram and bus services. The nearest tram station is a 4-minute walk away. The nearest bus stop is an 8-minute walk away.
Facilities and Equipment
FutureMeds Krakow is situated in two buildings with a total area of over 700 m². We have 8 fully equipped doctor's offices, 7 treatment rooms and collection points.
The centre is fully computerised with its own secure server and fast internet connections. Each room has a computer terminal with Internet access and a printer.
In addition, we have air-conditioned work rooms for doctors and monitors. Our clinic is equipped with the best medical equipment in the field of bone densitometry (Hologic Horizon W), ophthalmic, and ultrasound. Our standard suite of equipment includes radiological equipment, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging (1.5T; 3.0T) and mammography.
